About Keadra

Born in Carthage, Texas
Lives & works in Dallas, Texas
My work explores the relationship between African-American culture, mental health, and multimedia experiences.
With how African-Americans are viewed through various forms of media (Billboards, TV, Internet, Social Media, etc.), new insights are crafted from both explicit and implicit discourse with influences such as Frida Kahlo & Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Ever since I was a teenager I have been fascinated by the unrelenting divergence of the mind. What starts out as vision soon becomes finessed into a manifesto of distress, leaving only a sense of nihilism and the possibility of a new reality.
As spatial replicas become distorted through boundaries and repetitive practice, the viewer is left with an insight into the outposts of our condition.
